Beyond Biofuels: Renewable Energy Opportunities for US Farmers

MCG conducted research and co-authored a report examining the opportunities for renewable energy development within the U.S. agricultural sector by evaluating best-practices in Germany.

A comparison was made between the economic and social drivers driving renewable energy development in Germany's agricultural sector and the current status of renewable energy development among US farmers. The report, Beyond Biofuels: Renewable Energy Opportunities for U.S. Farmers, describes the economic potential from solar, wind, and biomass development in the agricultural sector of both counties and concludes with recommendations for U.S. farmers.
