MCG contributes to the Renewables 2011 Global Status Report

Boston, August 2011: Meister Consultants Group (MCG) and its European affiliate company, the Institute for Organizational Communication (IFOK), contributed research to the internationally renowned Renewables 2011 Global Status Report. Produced by the Renewable Energy Network for the 21st century (REN21), the report provides a comprehensive assessment of renewable energy worldwide. It is the result of a collaborative effort between REN21 Secretariat staff and Steering Committee members, regional research partners, and selected experts and reviewers.

Both Wilson Rickerson, CEO at MCG, and David Jacobs, Director of Renewable Energy at IFOK, contributed to the report. Mr. Jacobs served as the lead topical researcher on feed-in tariffs, providing expertise to compile the report’s comprehensive assessment of feed-in tariff policies across the world. Mr. Rickerson served as reviewer for the report.

REN21 convenes international leaders to enable a rapid global transition to renewable energy. It promotes renewable energy to meet the needs of both industrialized and developing countries that are driven by climate change, energy security, development and poverty alleviation. The overarching goal of REN21 is the promotion of policies that will increase the wise use of renewable energy worldwide. The international network creates an environment in which ideas and information are shared by professionals and policy-makers to encourage actions that drive renewable energy development.
