Office Manager
Part-time: 20 hours per week, flexible hours
A small, vibrant and fast-growing international sustainability consulting firm based in Boston.
We are seeking a highly motivated, technologically-adept professional with experience in all facets of office management. This role requires core hours of 9-12 Monday through Friday with remaining hours flexible for the right candidate.
Requirements

Duties
- Support President, CEO and other professionals
- General office management (e.g. correspondence, interface to service providers)
- Accurate and timely file management
- Administer project management and time-tracking toolsAssist in proof-reading and website managementEffectively interface with various international colleagues (including IT department)
- Organize meetings, receive clients and guests
- Arrange domestic and international travel
- Execute various tasks and projects as assigned
- Order and maintain office and kitchen supplies

Assistant Controller

Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of Quickbooks
- Proficency in SAP a plus
- Experience in project oriented corporate (especially in the consulting field a plus)
- Degree or experiential equivalent in accounting

Duties
- Analyze project and financial reports, information and trends
- Account for financial transactions
- Maintain transaction records (verifying, allocating and posting)
- Reconciliation of accounts and entries
- Balance General Ledger and prepare Trial Balance
- Systematically file physical and electronic files
- Manage cash position
- Compliance with federal and state legal standards for accounting, filing requirements, relevant procedures and advising management on same
- Gathering, refining and reviewing financial projections
- Reporting to President and European main office and working with the main office in a productive, efficient and collaborative way

Clean Energy & Sustainability Internship
Job Description:
MCG is accepting applications for its spring and summer internship program. Interns work 3-5 days a week for 3-6 months, supporting MCG’s consulting projects, developing reports and white papers through independent research, and participating in MCG’s strategic program development. MCG is looking for highly qualified and motivated candidates who are eager to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns work directly with MCG staff on a wide range of projects focusing clean energy policy, sustainability strategies, climate adaptation, and corporate responsibility. Responsibilities may include:
- Conducting research and analysis to support MCG’s projects
- Drafting reports and other project work products
- Participating in project team meetings
- Preparing powerpoint presentations
- Assisting with the development of proposals
- Providing administrative support as needed (roughly 10% of intern’s time)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of work experience in a relevant field such as energy policy, sustainability, planning, business management, and/or finance. Masters degree preferred.
- Strong subject matter knowledge relevant to sustainability, clean energy and climate change policy, and/or corporate responsibility.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Additional foreign language skills are also valued.
- Ability to work independently with supervision as well as part of a larger team.
- Excellent computer skills and strong expertise with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Full time candidates preferred.
